A group exhibition of Assar Art Gallery’s represented artists
6 March -14 March, 2016

Assar Art Gallery is pleased to present a group exhibition of works by 12 of its in-house artists.

Exhibiting twelve works by the gallery’s twelve artists, the exhibition wishes to celebrate the diverse range of art by some of Tehran’s most interesting artists represented by the gallery.   Running for the 4th consecutive year, the gallery’s last exhibition of the Iranian calendar wraps up and reviews the best of art presented by the gallery.  This show aims to not only highlight works by artists who had held solo exhibitions at the gallery the past year but is also an opportunity for viewers who had missed specific solo exhibitions.

This exhibition showcases a carefully selected collection of works and highlights from some of the artists’ latest series presented by the gallery the previous year and also some archival works haven’t shown to the public for some time.  The selection aims to highlight the varied range of approaches, techniques and subject matters by the artists that together as a team represent Assar Art Gallery’s approach to contemporary Iranian art curation, selection and taste.

With a large collection of modern and contemporary Iranian art Assar Art Gallery plays a significant role in Tehran’s artistic landscape. The gallery’s mission is to engage artists and audiences through an ambitious program of quality exhibitions, collections, collaborations and publications both domestically and internationally. It also identifies and supports the most significant works of art within the Iranian cultural scene and aims to bring 20th century Iranian art to the attention of the rest of the world.
