Assar Art Gallery is pleased to presents Nature, a selection of paintings from Alireza Adambakan’s Landscape series spanning a decade.

Throughout the past two decades, Alireza Adambakan has unceasingly created works fitting into one of his three major series: Landscapes, Cityscapes and Portraits.

Like his other works from the Landscape series, the Nature subseries focuses on a range of elemental responses to a rich diversity of landscapes, and it portraits Adambakan’s highly personal and distinctly emotional approach towards one of his major sources of inspiration.

His signature use of layers of oil paint, acrylic paint, pencil, charcoal and pastel on cardboard (this time mounted on plywood) once again insinuates his expressive tone regardless of the context he preferably picks from time to time.

Born in 1976 in Tehran where he currently lives and works, Adambakan received a BA in painting in 1999. He has participated in over 50 national and international exhibitions and his work has been exposed in several art fairs. Additionally, some important private collections are home to his paintings. In addition to painting, Adambakan teaches and has over the years collaborated with art magazines and newspaper as a researcher and writer.
