Heval Tazhandreh paints bodies that are exposed to internal and external forces, injuring and being injured. Their condition and position on the paper are represented in a way they depict the relation between these forces and the bodies. Indeed, the characters in his paintings are portrayed while interacting, in addition to being subject to the external forces.

They come to blows and disfigure one another, and when alone, they drag out their true selves, the inner persona imprisoned in their bodies, and push them to battle against the forces. Tazhandareh paints the connection between these figures’ inner and outer world in the eternal state of emergency.
